simplistic happiness
Accessorize floral jewelry / Breakfast in Bed Tea Set with Tray / Sketch Floral Trivet / Open Peony Corsage , Pale Pink, $15
I have always loved tea. Sweet peach tea in the summer, warm apple cider in the winter. Teas before bed to warm my body, teas in the morning to start my day. Teas in the afternoon to give me a kick, peppermint is my favorite for this one. I just really love tea. And I was feeling kinda minimalistic this morning, I was pretty slow waking up, and felt like looking over a tray of tea and accessories would make me totally happy.
I usually am pretty detailed in the sets that I make, but I entered this one into Art/Expressions rather than fashion or interior design because it's so minimalistic and artsy. IDK> :) I hope it still gets noticed. So far, I've been getting a pretty solid good response from when I put it up, I've gotten a steady stream of likes on my polyvore page @gardengalagirls. :)

Top Sets
I have always loved interior design, and have recently decided to go back to school to obtain a degree in Landscape Horticulture and become a landscape designer in the Bay Area. When I was little I spent so many hours just staying up and designing my dream houses, the room set-up, the drapes, the windows.. I loved it all. I am a list-maker so I feel at home creating a gigantic 'wow' from lots of little 'oohs'. :) If you know what I mean! ;)
I think I might focus on an outdoorsy set next, and start collecting something to 'bring the outdoors in'. I love the rustic, woodsy feel of a home in the forest. I want a ranch so bad with chickens and goats and dogs and a horse! I think I'll be creating a dream home from one of these ideas :) What should I include? Wood paneling, ceramic dishes, warm throws, natural light..... That's what I'm thinking so far! <3

Christopher Kane / H&M sandals, $9.86 / Yellow gold jewelry, $7.58 / philosophy lip makeup, $14
so this set makes me super happy because it reminds me of warm summer nights. the ones you don't want to ever forget. when your hair is blowing in the wind softly, there's music in the background and you smile at the boy next to you. nights your heart can't lie and you let go of all the problems your life has collected. the orange dress is shaped so you look cute eating that popsicle, flattering on seriously everyone. reminiscent of the 50's or 60's, makes me even more nostalgic with this outfit, and makes me love it more!
i'm not too sure about the sunglasses, i think i might just wear my ray bans. i'm not sure if you can tell, but the shoes go up to the ankle, and this is the only reason, well, plus they are leather, so i will give them a chance. this outfit is totally affordable did you even notice this? awesomeness. i need to see if i can get that dress to come up on the price list. hmm. i hope you all are having a great thursday.

Pier One Lavender Bouquet in Pitcher / Black Stripe Cushion design by Ferm Living / Peekaboo Clear Console Table - Contemporary - entrance/foyer - Style... / Elizabeth Tufted Settee, Yellow Blossom / Black Mirrored Cabinet - Transitional - entrance/foyer - Elsa Soyars / Vintage Impression Oil Painting Vintage Variety / fernfiddlehead
entrances are a great opportunity to captivate an audience and leave them begging for more. you have a 5 second window to catch their attention, and sprucing up a foyer is the perfect spring project to transform your living space into something welcoming and powerful, or whatever you want the tone of the design (of the house) to be. * think about function, lighting, uniqueness and display * add mirrors to small hallways to brighten and open the space. save color swatches for an inspirational palette. mix patterns and textures to create variety and interesting importance. fresh flowers are always a great choice and help with color coordination.
♥ have fun!

Quotes about the sea
“I must be a mermaid, Rango. I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living.”
― Anaïs Nin
“Look at that sea, girls--all silver and shadow and vision of things not seen. We couldn't enjoy its loveliness any more if we had millions of dollars and ropes of diamonds.”
― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
“My soul is full of longing
for the secret of the sea,
and the heart of the great ocean
sends a thrilling pulse through me.”
― Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
“They sat on the outcropping of stone and at bread and fruit. Kasta watched the long grass moving around them. The wind pushed it, attacked it, struck it in one place than another. It rose and fell again. It flowed, like water.
"Is this what the sea is like?" Kasta asked, and they both turned to her, surprised. "Does the sea move the way this grass moves?"
“It's like the sea,” she said.
Giddon’s eyes on her were incredulous.
“What? Is it such a strange thing to say?”
“It’s a strange thing for you to say.” He shook his head. He gathered their bread and fruit, then rose. “The Lienid fighter is filling your mind with romantic notions.”
― Kristin Cashore, Graceling
“The sea, the snotgreen sea, the scrotumtightening sea.”
― James Joyce, Ulysses
“I am longing to be with you, and by the sea, where we can talk together freely and build our castles in the air.”
― Bram Stoker, Dracula
“The road to Manderley lay ahead. There was no moon. The sky above our heads was inky black. But the sky on the horizon was not dark at all. It was shot with crimson, like a splash of blood. And the ashes blew towards us with the salt wind from the sea.”
― Daphne du Maurier, Rebecca

LOL! Whats up guys!! I'm just gonna start talking, and hope some of y'all are bored enough to give me a listen!! LOL. But seriously, stay tuned if you want to check out what's going on. :P
It seems I've applied everywhere for a job recently, so the prospect of nice work clothes in my closet is getting me thinking about how I want to spend the money I'm going to work so hard to earn. I've thought that since I'll be working part-time, I'm going to allot $500 every three months or so to new clothes. This is an experiment, I'm not sure how well it's going to work, so I'll just try it and let you all know what happens! So I started planning my first $500 shopping haul, I decided I'd save until July 1, and then buy some nice work clothes. That gives me all of June, and two weeks in May to save.
I waited to post this set to Polyvore until I wrote this blog, so you could see what I was talking about! I want to use it as inspiration, more like just for me, and now you, to figure out if it's a great choice. I want to look at my options well before I spend all this money! Do you do this too? I love planning what I'm going to buy. Makes buyer's remorse non-existent! It's great. I'd love to hear what you all think about what I post, after all, I'm doing it so I can figure out if I want to buy this stuff, if it will be worth it! Your comments will be most appreciated!
